When I went to Honduras a few months ago, I was taught to use an
auto-refractor machine to look inside eyes and get a prescription for
glasses.  I loved the job because every eye was different with beautiful
patterns just like those in the photos.  I tried to take photos through the
refractor but just got interference lines.  When I photographed cataract
surgery several years ago, I used a Leica R6.2 with the 100 Macro.  It did
a great job but I also had lots of light from the operating room lights.
