I am in a similar situation, having sold a few images on Alamy (actually enough
to get paid once) but I simply do not have the time and inclination to invest
the effort to get a steady stream of sales, like Tina does.
My most satisfying sale was a couple of years ago to a small publishing house
in the UK which specialises in translation of foreign poetry into English. They
wanted to use one of my images (which they had found via Google) for the cover
of a book of poems of the Dutch poet Martinus Nijhoff. I quoted them 50 pounds
plus a copy of the book as my fee, and got both.
Cheers,
Nathan
