I am not totally sure but thought they ditched PACE interlok at ver 5. 
That was nasty intrusive anti piracy software that
should never have been used or at a minimum totally removed with an 
uninstall. I recall procedures to rid the beast of this. I am not aware 
of any such intrusive antipiracy software (that can also cause 
instability)  anymore --at least nothing that doesn't vanish with 
uninstall.
They have made some missteps but produce a pretty good product and it 
is hard to beat free as long as there are no such hidden costs.
