You should go tour their factory. Maybe you can talk them into giving you some
free samples!
Here's an article on McIntosh from CBS This Morning, which states that as of
publication in January 2013, McIntosh had no overseas manufacturing facilities.
I have no information to suggest that's different 18 months later.

Here's another interesting tidbit. Yesterday I discussed this thread with a
friend who works in the hi-fi industry. He mentioned a certain British hi-fi
and home theater electronics manufacturer of entry to mid-level gear. The
entry level stuff is manufactured in China, the mid-level gear in the UK. The
company is venturing into higher end components, and recently decided to
manufacture them in the US. Why the US? Because it's more economical than
manufacturing in the UK, and quality control is higher than in China.
So there's at least some hope....
