I reduced the saturation in this one but the color is still distracting:

Personal taste, but this is another where the shallow focal plane doesn't work for me, because it's not where my eyes
want to focus. Focus on the front eye makes me happier. :-)

I like much of what Philippe has done to color, although the face seems a bit overcooked to my eye. But I don't like
what all those sliders have done in other respects. By not reducing noise before strong processing, the noise has
morphed into big, edgy clumps and there are lots of artifacts. The hands also seem to me way over sharpened, creating an
alternate point to pull my eyes away from the face.
I was surprised at the apparent difference in detail of face and hands when
I converted to B&W:

I think what you are seeing in noise/grain, which is much more noticeable in the B&W version. You've said before that
you like the impression of detail/sharpness that grain creates. I think the grain is fine in her face, but so big and
clumpy in the background that I don't much like it.
In addition to the relocated focal plane, my B&W takes a different approach, less noise/grain and a little gentler in
sharpness and contrast. Not to say better, just another way of looking at the image.
