Oh Yeah. I have a copy of that movie on DVD stashed in a drawer
somewhere around here. I was actually working on B-36s when that movie
came out.
Do you know that Brigadier General Jimmy Stewart was qualified to fly
the B-52? He came to Loring AFB one summer for his reserve training.
We were the second Bomb Wing to transition from the B-36 to the B-52.

YIKES!!! I'm going to lose sleep thinking about that. Now I can better comprehend
Jimmy Stewart's commands to the FE in "Strategic Air Command". The B-36 crash
scene in that movie was amazing.
