I learned to fly a couple of years after I learned to drive, and I quickly
gained the habit of keeping my head "outside the cockpit", as they say. Most
people I see while driving are talking on their cell phones, texting, etc.
Lots of distractions. I watched in horror one day as a fellow was trying to
read something on the passenger seat and slammed into a slow moving delivery
van at full speed.
