For what it’s worth, I enjoyed all the monk pictures. But I settled on the one
indicated because of the simplicity of composition, the lack of distracting
elements. The others are good for a larger context, but the monk in prayer was
the thing. A photo essay would have to include a wider perspective, but just
moving shot by shot, the more artistic composition has a way of elbowing into
the consciousness.
