I still have the dream of having an air-cooled VW bus. My old '73
Superbeetle was in some respects the finest mountain vehicle possible, I
thought. Going up -- shift to 3rd and wrap it for all it's worth. Going
down -- put it in 4th and turn off the ignition.
I have to settle for a GMC van now. Mighty comfortable and big. The only
vehicle I ever drove 1000 miles in one day (not that I recommend that).
Also, I would indeed like to see the present day Moose in a vintage VW
bus. Seems appropriate, you old hippy.
