I did forget to mention that the D VARIO-ELMAR 14-150 does have some barrel
distortion at the wide end. When I do not need the telephoto component I use
the D VARIO-ELMARIT 14-50 which does not have this problem and is 1 stop
faster.

Anyone using one of these with an E-thingie? I understand it's the bee's knees
among lenses that cover this range but wonder if there is any compromise in
using it with a non-Panny, non-Leica body. Can't see why, but it's a lot of
