I missed this earlier. I'm amazed that this attitude still exists. If
galleries where I live, in the state that long denied evolution, can proudly
show photographs, anyone can. I remember the days that the only "real" art
was oil painting, acrylics and watercolors need not apply. We outlived that,
and now we can outlive the anti photo bias. I must question those who make
these decisions. The attitude is that no skill is required to take a photo.
If we were to collect photos from these people and have them judged by some
impartial person, I suspect that all would find something wanting.
