Nice in theory. In practice, most of us don't have cameras where that's
possible, and are unlikely to switch for that
feature, so the point remains meaningful for most of us, most of the time.
And then ... We've been out shooting together many times. How often I seen you
or Marnie, whoever's operating the
OM-5DII, checking the histogram or zebra flashes before shooting? It's just
seldom practical in the field.
The truth is that most of us, once we are familiar with a camera, can pretty
much hit the exposure on most shots without
such detailed help.

And Canon and Nikon and Fuji and ... I expect it's because they are all trying
to gain little edges with buyers and
these features just aren't significant in their surveys of consumers. My guess
is that Oly knows perfectly well that a
properly chosen AA filter is better than none, but they concluded that being
able to advertise 'No AA Filter!!!' might
gain them some sales.
