>>>Any suggestions on a decent OM Zuiko to NEX-7 adapter.
Seems my other comments were waay late, rather like discussing nuances
of oar design after the Rubicon has been crossed. BB doesn't even
require any stinkin lenses for compelling images so anything I am sure
will work well for the trip. Please comment on what you think of the
Nex.
Well to keep FOV about the same requires Speedbooster or
lensturbo---latter much inferior optics but might be OK for slow teles
by report. For now one option is the expensive EF to NEX (&OMZ to
Canyon!!) that has the fancy electronics for aperture
control/AF and some OMZ lenses rear protrusions (don't remember which
one causes the trouble) interfere--see list below. That be said the
tolerances are tight but some reported below have still worked w/o
damaging the SB.
I read a comment by Bo Ming that they were working on a direct OM to E
mount but they tend to keep things under wraps and not a word since
late Nov. I would think it would be much cheaper with no fancy shmancy
electronics. The MTF is reported to sl increase in the center (seems
almost impossible) but the edges/corners suffer a tad. The optic is
designed about as carefully as feasible.
Standard adapters w/o optics are available form the usual suspects.
How bout an A7R MkII with IBIS and an EFC, Mike
List of manual focus lenses which REQUIRE MODIFICATION to be used on
Speed Booster:
"Many manual focus lenses have rear protrusions (spikes, levers, other
appendages) which would damage the optics and/or housing of Speed
Booster?? They need to be modified before they can be safely used on
Speed Booster?? Check and make sure there are no rear protrusions from
the adapter/lens combination before using on Speed Booster. Scratches
and damages caused by rear protrusions or by poor quality adapters are
not covered by warranty. The following is an incomplete list of lenses
known to be incompatible.

It does NOT fit."
