That bench has evolved quite a bit this past year. The repair stand seen
there was made from a couple of pieces of lumber and a scrap piece of plywood.
Not as fancy as the commercial ones, but it holds the bike off the ground well
enough for almost all repairs and tuning. If I need a full one I can go down
to the co-op and use one of theirs. Made my own truing jig as well from a
couple of pieces of aluminum angle stock and some light machining:

It's adequate for 700mm and 27" wheels.

I'd like to see that. I used my old Huffy to deliver newspapers on ice
and snow, with a few mishaps. Using panniers made it a bit more stable.
