That isn't your self-proclaimed 'special' apostrophe, simply a mark of
abbreviation because you cannot be bothered to type out "typographical
error" in full!
Granted, the 's usage does mark a "funny foreign word in the plural" - but
that is in Dutch. Not English.

No - but ever since I upgraded my OSX, I seem to have a massive increase in
typo's (there's one of those 'special' pluralistic apostrophes Chris) some
of which are bizarre auto spell checker problems. Can't seem to turn that
