Well, yes, My first computer was a Commodore VIC-20. Came with 20k of
RAM. Bumping that up was prohibitively expensive.
First computer I ever interacted with was a Burroughs business mainframe at
the bank my dad worked in. When they scrapped that out and replaced it, I
ended up with some of the core memory cards, which sadly have disappeared
over the years.
