I agree with Chris on this. As I understand it the 'recirculate'
setting is for use for brief periods when stuck in a traffic jam, with
someone else's exhaust pumping fumes out near ones heater/cooler air
intake. I have used it, but very rarely and then probably in a tunnel
or underpass.
Those with a need to replace a turn switch, which nowadays tends to be
part of an expensive plug in complex assembly including light switches
etc , might like to do as I did some years ago and visit a breakers
yard for a replacement as such assemblies can be perfectly usable from
a vehicle that has been written off in a crash. I was pleased to get
one which was a later version of my original switch and actually easier
to use as well as being easy to plug in as a replacement after I had
worked out how to remove the panels round the steering wheel.
