The US Marine Corps veteran's flag is interesting. Isn't the defacement of
the US flag a criminal offence attracting a term of imprisonment not
exceeding a year? Or, is it protected under the 1st Amendment as freedom of
speech? Just curious as someone hailing from a country with no national flag
defacement penalties.
