I have seen the 24/3.5 sell for < $1000 several times. I had a hard time
getting a good price for mine when I sold them. It took a while.
Haven't compared to the SA 28mm, no. I think the OM would be better, as
it likely has more shift (12 or 13mm I think?) plus of course it's wider,
which is crucial. And it's easily adapted to various other 35mm bodies if
need be. (canon, Nikon, etc.)
