You don't have to endure Swindon for that kind of fun

The Hemel Hempstead variant cuts down on the central reservation between
traffic lanes, increases the size of the circle, allows for significantly
higher speeds and makes for much more fun. Whether for participants or
onlookers is not for me to say.

PS Did you know that the native London accent tends to drop initial "h", and
prepend "h" to words beginning with a vowel? Oddly counter to the rules of
received pronunciation, but either way "Hanger" lane must have been
well-named in anticipation of the feelings of road users.

Aw, Chris, you're taking all the fun out of it. Of course, I have to listen
to a former fighter pilot--not the most timid of motorists as a rule--when
he says don't do it. Having wandered around London at some length, I don't
think I'd want to drive there, but if there was a car hire place close to
the roundabout, I dunno. I'm still planning on carjacking Philippe to do the
Arc de Triomphe. <g>
Truth is, though, that Swindon circle has really charged my batteries. I've
been studying the chart, and I think one could have a good morning's fun in
that thing. Perhaps on a Moped? <g>
