I'm sure all the components are available in the US - none of it is made here!
And the comment that it'd cost twice as much for Mac is innaccurate - Mac's use
most of the same components these days - RAM and drives for instance. Sometimes
if they are tagged 'for Mac' a higher price is put on them but a simple check
reveals that they are the same in a different box.
