Just bought a new (to me) car. Watched the guy go through all the usual
routines. Smiled, nodded, accepted some things, rejected others. Reminded
myself that he has to make a living and pay the rent - and he can only do that
by paying someone quite a bit less than the car is worth and charging me a
little more than it's worth. That's OK with me. After all, he has provided a
service. Several in fact.
So why would we regard them as weasels when we haven't been quite careful
enough?
Next week - why I sympathise with real estate agents.
