Precisely what I did for Tanzania last year. Bought an Aspire with a
320Gb drive and transferred the files at night. Useful for viewing, I
also shot a bit of video, it was handy for that. The Aspire has an 11"
screen.
Also took a little ex-laptop 40Gb drive for backup, in an Integral case.
Of course, I wasn't using a mondo Nokin with vast file sizes and
limitless pik-sells...
