She did no such thing. She rightly demanded that the stupid Common Agricultural
Policy be scrapped, or, failing that, negotiated a rebate for her country. I do
not agree with everything she did, but she is one of the few post-war
politicians who strove for high office because she had principles and an
ideology, as opposed to the empty suits who run most countries today--for them,
politics is simply a career choice.
