Yes, that is possible Bob, although you would need to watch that the Pay as
you Go SIM card you get allows calls back to US. Equally possible is to
borrow a phone from a local resident. If you can find one. Oh, I forgot, you
know where I live.

Still wondering if it's possible to buy a cheap burner phone in, say,
Inverness, that would cover that part of the islands and Highlands that
actually have coverage. Spotty coverage is something we're used to in Maine.
