Chris,
Admittedly, I have not follow the prices of these cameras in at least year and
a half.
I bought the Kiev in mint condition with papers and box off of ebay for $36.
That was a few years back, I did brag on this list for finally getting a fang
myself (I never had luck with things like that or lottery...:). I never even
put a roll of film in it, because it is immaculate, just tested the lightmeter.
The other one I bought from a list member from across the world for what I
believe was $90 shipped. That was at least eight years ago. It came with wide
angle lens, perspective lens (forgot the name, the one you put on the top of
the camera to adjust for the focal length of the accessory lenses) and a
telephoto lens along with it. I have not used it in ages, but it did perform
flawlessly in -20F weather.
I guess the prices have shot up.
Best
Boris
............................................
Boris, I've always wanted to play with one of these, but have never seen one for
$40 in any condition. Fedka.com sells them for about $100, with a lens,
and I think he has them all serviced before selling them. To me that seems
like a good deal, since you'd know it works. --
