That plow doesn't look much different than the ones used on the roads in
Northern Maine (the "other" Maine, as 'Bob calls it) back in the '50s.
Just bigger. As far as I was concerned, those guys were heroes, too.
Several times one of them or another pulled my car out of a snow bank.
LOL And I never had one of those drivers refuse a drink of whiskey,
either. LOL
On Loring AFB they used 8 large rotary plows in a Conga line on the
runwway and they ran more days than not during the winter. Nights, too.
