Well, the reported cases of skin cancer skyrocketed since we started
cleaning up our pollution. But you do bring up a point. We're living
too long. That's contributing to a multitude of problems. But the
earth system has a way of taking care of inbalance. A plague of some
form will probably wipe out 2/3 of the population and get things back
under control again.
Throughout recorded human history, there has been human and non-human
population controls that kick in.
