I just timed myself. With battery in little soft case in my pocket, which is
the usual case in the field for me, it took
20 seconds.
If using a battery from the bag, it would take up to a couple of minutes. But
then, that's why the camera alerts you to
the coming end, so you have the opportunity to change it before going into a
situation where a battery change would be a
problem (issue?).
