I've been researching this problem for the local computer club that
serves two adjacent retirement communities. I have written a tutorial
for Windows users that tries to explain (in senior citizen terms) what
the problem is and how to disable Java (in Windows) to protect yourself.
It's probably too low a level for most of you but I'll post it here
shortly for those who can use it.
