I believe Chuck's calculations are correct, but not always in agreement with
experience. :-)
His calculations of diffraction limits on resolution have not agreed with my
practical tests and experience.
That such should be the case, considering the number of real world variables,
does not surprise me. Which factors are
responsible for which proportions of the difference, I don't care. ;-)
