I just got the Big_IS OM to Micro 4/3 adapter. It arrived in 8 days
from the day I ordered it... far, far sooner than the promised delivery
which was sometime between Jan 30 and Feb 15. The adapter is also
supplied with an 4/3 rear lens cap. I should have brought a spare OM
body cap for the adapter but didn't think of it.
The adapter seems well made. It fits the camera firmly and locks on
easily and securely. It's also a very good fit on the OM Zuiko 50/1.4
that I brought along with me. And it's very easy to use on the E-M5. I
put the camera in aperture preferred mode. The first test shot I took
was with the lens wide open. Got a nice exposure with good looking
histogram. Then I closed the lens down to f/8. I was initially
startled to see that the viewfinder wasn't any dimmer. Then I realized
that the EVF was compensating for me. So I was able to focus and shoot
the next shot at f/8 with no need to open up for focus and close back
down again for the shot. Another good exposure and histogram. This is
too easy. Canon eat your heart out. :-)
