We have those average speed cameras on many lengths of road-works in the UK
(I believe they are called specs') - I haven't seen them on 'normal' roads
yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

My understanding is that this is commonplace in Australia, and likely to
happen some time soon on some major roads in New Zealand as well.
