You don't need a charger for the car, per se, only a USB connector your
charging cable. However, I have a Griffin TuneFlex, now discontinued, which
plugs into the "cigar lighter" and which has a stiff arm to hold my iPhone in
view if I am using it for the GPS (CoPilot is the app).
But I do have a dedicated charging cradle in the arm rest of my BMW X1 if I do
not need the GPS facility (most of the time . . .).
