Thanks for that info. I had not heard of 7 dayshop before. Looking at
their site I notice they also have a timer / controller for £18. I think I will
get a wired remote - If only for the satisfaction of being able to use my
legacy Olympus Quartz controller. Once again the list comes up trumps.

It ought to be possible without tools, John. I have a 7dayshop wired
remote whichsports a 2.5 mm socket for the Quartz controller.
Alternatively there are Chinese intervalometers on the auction site
and probably Amazon too.
