What you are neglecting here is that, if diffraction is the cause of an
image resolution of 5 MP (1/2 of 10 MP) using a 20 MP sensor will still
only get you 5 MP.
But if you can't see it it doesn't make any difference... except that
you might have better "per-pixel resolution" (whatever that is) with the
larger pixels of a 10 MP sensor.
