I think you're ignoring what the chart says which is: "This chart
displays the range when there would be no influence of available light."
That very clearly says to me that it's a normal guide number with the
flash supplying the total illumination... in other words, normal flash
exposure in the dark... not fill flash. That's why I called it useless
for fill flash.
