I'm not sure that we have anything like actual architecture around here,
but your kind remarks are much appreciated.
I've added another photo, this one of the actual building the stairs
sort of lead to. The stairway in the previous photo is in the far right
of this new one, to give you some perspective.

The building served as the capitol of my state around the time of it was
admitted to the union. The grounds around it have changed considerably
through the years as the city developed. It's now the heart of the
University of Iowa campus. This is one of my return-to vantage points.
I'm a little surprised the prospect is not used more in university
publicity -- maybe too ho-hum for those types. I like it, especially in
the autumn.
