David you sneaky devil you! :-) I had forgotten those from a few years ago! 
But certainly practical uses of a monopod.

However there certainly is a third as I've found recently!  (No picture as 
I'll have to leave that up to you for the next visit to Logan Lake! ) :-) 
They make very fine "walking sticks/canes!"  Damn this getting old is the 
pits! :-)

Actually not a bad device at all because they're adjustable and also make 
for a good baton in case some one wishes to relieve you of your cameras! One 
damn good whack and the bad guy is down!  Hit him again harder if it appears 
he's going to get up! "Show no mercy... Take no prisoners!" :-) And always 
claim self defence! :-)
