Jim, I admire your willingness to experiment. There appears to be degradation
of the image (at least on my monitor) almost a double image on parts of the
head. Is it a feature of lens plus converter or digital processing? The subject
itself is beautiful - as is your work in general.

Subject: [OM] IMG: Goldfinch on a Rainy Day
I added a 2X Extender to my 250 Telyt-R, to try to get larger images of birds,
where they spook if I move in too close. This was my first attempt, 30 minutes
after the 2X arrived, on a rainy afternoon. More light, and/or a higher ISO
would probably have worked better.
