Why a MKII, instead of a clean original? Do you need more than 13MP? Hard to
remember for sure, but i seem to recall
that the big thing I hoped for from the MkII was better high ISO performance.
Examples of the plaid noise pattern from
CH and others made me question even that.
The MkI has amazing pixel level resolution/clarity/ separation/whatever that
you might like very much. Ah, I remember
now, live view and video. Still, at least for me, live view on a fixed screen
is worth much less than when articulated.
I was more relieved than I would have thought when I learned the MkIII wouldn't
have an articulated screen. No
temptation to blow a wad on one.

Check the lens/body contacts. If one is making and breaking, it might cause
something like that.

Huh? I have literally never done that. You are meant to change Auto, EF mount
lenses without turning the camera off; why
not an adapter that thinks it's EF? Don't know about other makes, but Canon's
don't care.

The E-620 has always seemed to me the best one.
No E OR III Moose
