Shortly, Nikon will start their new parts policy. NO parts sales to
anyone, except their ASCs (Authorized Service centers). SO, if you
dream of being able to buy a battery door to do-it-yourself, you'd be
directed to one of those ASCs (many get F grade from BBB) to pay $120 or
more for installation of said battery door, and a "safety check" to make
sure your camera meets factory specs.
For now netter off staying with Canon.
