I usually work at my screen resolution, which is 2560x1440. That's with all the
attendant palate and work-area clutter as well as the image. The actual image
rendered by LR 4 is 10.5x15.5 inches, which I think is a very comfortable size
to work with. I haven't noticed any problems when I then print larger or
smaller. And the images are large enough that the necessity to occasionally
look at the pixel level are less frequent.
