The only problem with cloning is that all the software I have (Acronis,
Paragon) insists on wiping the entire source drive, i.e. all partitions.
That was OK when 80gb drives were the norm. Now I can't create an 80gb
partition on my 1tb drive to reserve for clones. What are my options? I
have considered resurrecting and old functioning drive to use for
dedicated clones. Not the best backup strategy to trust an 8 y.o.
drive....but will work to archive XP.
