It has something aimed at the same end, but working somewhat differently.
Before you dismiss it, you might try it.
- Key 'C' for compare mode.
- If you have already selected images, the first two will show up side-by-side.
- The one on the left is labeled 'Select' and the one on the right is
'Candidate'
- You can add or delete images from the group of candidates by CTRL+Click on
the filmstrip on the bottom when you hover
the mouse down there.
- Arrows on the bottom flip through the candidates.
- When you prefer a candidate, boxes on the bottom allow either dropping the
Select and replacing it with Candidate or
swapping Select and Candidate.
- Zoom controlled by a slider.
- The two images way be synched, so they move and zoom together.
- Right click gives a menu of all sorts of things, including flagging, rating
and adding to a quick collection. They
would make choosing more than one image as part of a final group quick and easy.
- Icons on the bottom left allow quick switching between views"
- Grid = everything in the folder.
- Loupe = 'Select' image at 100%.
- Comparison = described above.
- Survey = All selected images.
It looks to me like a very efficient way to compare lots of images and select
the best. One never need go back to the
grid view to select a new set of four - just keep flippin' through. YMMV
