It is. It also means to have been made pregnant, I seem to remember.
But, language evolves . . . :-)
You should hear some of the different jargon that we have always used in the
RAF fast-jet world; that has changed a great deal over the years.
I hope that I have not linked to this before, but here is a map of the UK, as
known by anyone who flew fast at low level around it. The UK is small enough
to get to know after a few years of flying around. In addition, I taught low
level navigation to navigators so I knew most of the place, except the cities
(because we were not allowed to fly over them at low level):
