Thanks very much, Chuck. The Pitts was built to be a real performer, and it
is, but it demands a lot of attention from the pilot. The owner is a design
engineer who is also a perfectionist. If you look closely, you can see an
attachment to the left wing strut. This places a guide in the pilot's field
of view, giving him precise 45-degree increments from the horizon, so that
he can align his maneuvers perfectly.
