Dr. Flash (who has neither a T28 nor a 5D Mk II) predicts no problems.
As Moose says, the T28 is like the T32 in that the control pins are held
up out of electrical contact with the pins of the Canon's shoe since
there is no recess in the shoe (ala OM) to allow them to drop down. I
don't know the trigger voltage but would guess that it's similar to the
approx. 12 volts of the T32.
Even if it didn't have retractable control pins and low voltage I still
don't think it would matter much. I've used Sunpak and Vivitar OM
compatible TTL flash units on the 5D with no problems and these do not
have the retractable control pins of the T32. Furthermore, all Canon
digital cameras starting with the 20D (released 2004) will handle a 250
volt trigger voltage. 12 volts is peanuts.
