I would go further - the effort required, and the resources necessarily
diverted, to the production of such an adapter would distract from the
effort to produce new lenses and cameras. Far from not giving a rat's ass
for OM-system users, perhaps it's the case that they have to concentrate on
attracting Pent@x and Leic@ system users ... because we OM-system users
don't need to be encouraged to switch!

An adapter like that isn't going to help them sell any new lenses or
cameras. It would probably barely even break even vs. R&D costs to engineer
some sort of electro-mechanical solution. They showed long ago they don't
give a rat's ass for OM-system users, so it should be no surprise.
