Last summer I rode my motorcycle from New Mexico to Minnesota trying
very hard to avoid interstates, and I went through the western edge of
Kansas. It was a rather nice road with some nice curves and ups and
downs. Not quite as much fun as a mountain pass but still very
enjoyable. The only bad thing was that the road was covered with
grasshoppers which would jump up to about ankle height when I passed.
Luckily, some later rain showers did much of the cleaning for me.
